Johnny Williams

Johnny Williams Jr. is the Managing Partner of ProMotion Sports & Entertainment, a firm that specializes in the in the implementation and production of integrated marketing programs and events for professional athletes and entertainers. His extensive industry experience began with positions with: The Don Shula Foundation, The Super Bowl XXIX Host Committee and The PGA Tour. He leverages his knowledge and understanding of the sports & entertainment industry to strategically align athletes and performers with corporate America to enhance their brand image, and generate revenue for their philanthropic initiatives.
Mr. Williams was successful in managing comprehensive complex projects for Pro Series, Inc (PSI), a special event-marketing firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he structured major contracts that delivered multi-million dollar ROI for PSI’s corporate partners. Mr. Williams has cultivated his skills by teaming local intergovernmental agencies and corporate sponsors and aligning their objectives into cohesive synergistic integrated marketing campaigns. He was an asset to PSI’s organizational structure, serving as President & CEO of the annual McDonald’s® Air & Sea Show® and Fleet Week USA®, presented by McDonald’s for more than a decade. Mr. Williams has extensive experience in the areas of marketing & endorsements, corporate special event operations, sponsorship research and solicitation, and contracting.
Mr. Williams has been recognized in Success South Florida Magazine as being one of South Florida’s most successful African American businessmen under 40 and in the inaugural edition of Who’s Who in Black South Florida. He has given back to the community through his work as a Guardian Ad Litem and mentoring students. Mr. Williams sits on the Executive Board of The Winterfest Boat Parade, The Pantry of Broward and serves as General Counsel for the O.J. McDuffie Catch 81 Foundation.
Mr. Williams has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2003 and graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard College of Law, earned a MS degree in Sports Administration and Marketing from St. Thomas University and a BA degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Cortland.
Morgan McLaughlin
Morgan McLaughlin serves Promotion Sports & Entertainment as the sole Event Manager of Special Events and Sponsor Activations. Morgan works with the Executive Director, Johnny Williams, in the planning and execution of top-level events, sponsor strategies and media relations. Clients that Morgan has represented on behalf of Promotions Sports & Entertainment include but are not limited to: Walgreen’s Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine & Music Festival, Broward College Seahawk Festival, Irie Weekend and Irie Foundation, Brown Forman and Offerdahl’s Off-The-Grill. Morgan heavily focuses on all on-site event logistics, activation elements, management of labor teams and volunteers in addition to in-house administration management. Morgan also manages social media accounts for Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine & Music Festival and John Offerdahl, former Miami Dolphin athlete. Prior to joining the team in 2014, Morgan graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa where she received her degree in Communications with a specialization in Pubic Relations in 2013.
